It may sound ridiculous but introducing new colours, scratch that, tones in to my wardrobe can be daunting. As a self-confessed minimalist I generally only wear shades of black, white and grey, occasionally pale blue denim and nudes.
Accessories you never knew you needed until now, and gym bag must-haves I now couldn't live without! 2017 is the time for a fresh gym wardrobe and a kick start of new motivation for all of us, and i'm working with a new trainer in a new gym to keep me dedicated. After training at my previous gym for around 5 years with little guidance I needed a change of scenery, a tailored programme and someone to keep me focused when I was slacking! I will also be having my nutrition, moods and sleep monitored to improve my overall wellness.
This Elie Saab look worn by Kendall in Cannes looked as if it was made for her. The neutral feathers, lace and matching sultry robe paired with diamond earrings are a match made in heaven. And now we can shop similar lace co-ords from websites such as Revolve and Asos - we can only dream of having the overall Jenner effect, but we can certainly try!
Over the past few weeks, Zara have been teasing me to death uploading sneak peeks to instagram of their 'Zara woman studio collection' - and as a self-confessed Zara obsessive but also lover of quality and originality I really could not wait.
This year has gone by in a blink. Already we are in Autumn/Fall and soon we will be hitting winter. My favourite season is winter for many reasons - the layering of clothes, the scent of seasonal candles, dark nights at home in your silky white pyjamas and plenty of indulgent food and drinks.
Greatly anticipated and long awaited, Kanye West showcased his Spring 2017 Ready-to-wear Yeezy collection a few days ago at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Park in New York City. Of course we were expecting nude tones and lots of monochrome pieces (which I am always ecstatic to see) but the statements for this collection were in the new colour ways, the varied styles of knee high boots, incredibly cool oversized coats and focus on fitted knitwear.
As a woman I feel it's so important for us to support each other in every way possible. Being mindful of your fellow woman should be a natural instinct. I've certainly had my own issues with my body going through high school, specifically my breasts.
Man-repelling looks, oversized pieces and dramatic cuts have been taking over the runway recently, and have now started to trickle their way down to the high street too. I was so inspired reading about the innovative designs of Ellery a few months back in Vogue,
Cuba - it's the caribbean island nation majorly influencing the fashion world right now and has most likely been influencing your wardrobe without you even realising. But the reason we are crushing on Cuba is not just the authentic music, rum, cigars and incredible 16th century architecture - the laid-back street-style of the residents of Cuban capital Havana has had us all shopping for bardot tops, loafers and cuban-collared shirts.
Sleepwalking - the comfiest trend of this year so far and a trend I personally have slowly (but surely) fallen in love with. The perfect combination of sensual silk, complete comfort and an effortless twist on relaxed tailoring.
I have to admit I have always been a fan of the 'no-bra' look. When I am wearing an outfit that is backless, strapless or is made with a certain fabric - i think nothing looks better with that look than going braless. Of course it isn't for everyone - as I have a smaller chest I can get away without the support.
After the horrific flared trousers and jeans our mothers dressed us in circa 2002, when one of the top fashion magazines printed that designers were bringing flares back, I had to shudder.
I find it so difficult sometimes to find gym and sports clothes that are comfortable to work out in, good quality and long-lasting, and fit the colour scheme of black, white or nude. Over the past four years I have been trying to build a collection of gym clothes I can throw on and be comfortable but pieces that are cool enough to wear out for coffee too.
This year I have been obsessed with wearing white, and closely following how my all time style crushes Kendall Jenner, Emily Ratajkowski and Lily Aldridge have been styling white pieces.
Zara have got it so right with their new season bag collection, they have taken inspiration from the likes of Saint Laurent and Stella McCartney to produce beautiful shoulder bags and cross body bags and I feel like I need all of them!
My secret to shopping for casuals will come as no surprise - neutrals only! However this is a fail safe way to shop, I will walk through stores such as Urban Outfitters, H&M and Nike and pick up all of the neutral items.
I could not believe my luck when I visited London Fashion Weekend to see three of my new favourite brands exhibiting their pieces - new and old. First of all I spotted Astrid and Miyu, a contemporary London based jewellery brand and the makers of the many delicate pieces of jewellery I have been wearing non-stop for the past six months.
