TREND: FLATTERING FLARED TROUSERS
After the horrific flared trousers and jeans our mothers dressed us in circa 2002, when one of the top fashion magazines printed that designers were bringing flares back, I had to shudder.
However when I saw that the trend had been kept to minimal colours and styles, flattering and chic, and spotted on trend-setters such as Gigi Hadid and Chrissy Teigen, I realised flares were now a wardrobe must-have.
How to wear them? Stick to colours such as black, white and grey - these are fail safe colours and can be teamed with almost any top. If you are already a tall girl try Chrissy's technique by breaking up the colours to prevent looking too long. If you are petite and don't think flares will suit you - go with Kendall's technique and pair the same coloured flared trousers with a high neck top to make you look taller.
