HOW TO EAT WELL WHILE YOU'RE ABROAD

Something I always struggle with going on holiday is eating healthily. When I visit my grandparents in Greece it is easy to get my fix of fresh fish and beautiful salads, in Morocco I loved filling my boots with a hearty tagine and couscous but every now and again pizza and fries is far too tempting. Now, don't get me wrong holidays are all about cheat meals! But it's almost too easy to consume ice cream and cheetos every day and then wonder where the gut has appeared from when we get home!

WHICH SUPPLEMENTS SHOULD YOU BE TAKING?

B12 is the biggest recommendation for a plant based diet - but why? B12 is used to produce red blood cells which carry oxygen to your organs. If your cells do not have oxygen you will be seriously fatigued. Low oxygen levels in cells can also lead to nerve damage and weakened muscles. Other side effects of B12 deficiency can include dizzy spells, memory loss and could even contribute to mood changes, anxiety and depression

ORGANIC VS. NON-ORGANIC

It never really occurred to me that I should be investigating the source of my food as much as I concentrate on the type of food I eat. I make sure I eat as well as I can and give my body the correct balance of nutrients, however the entire organic vs. non-organic debate hasn't been something that had mattered to me much until recently.

So for a few months now I have been really reading up on the differences between the two, the effects of pesticides, and what in the world a 'GMO' is.

MY NIGHT TIME ROUTINE

I think we all probably know we need more sleep, I know I definitely do. But with work, the gym, shopping, cleaning, cooking, socialising, it's difficult to ensure I am getting the beauty sleep I need! I also struggle to drift off when I do go to bed - I don't know whether it is my anxiety, the temptation to spend hours scrolling through instagram or that I am generally just a night owl.

6 WAYS TO DETOX FOR 2017

We all want to detox and improve our lives and wellbeing for the better, but instead of making improvements slowly we go all out and often fail and fall in to bad habits. Read my guide below on how to get to the new you!

One day at a time, go through and detox a room in your home of all the un-necessary items you are hoarding.

THE DAIRY DEBATE

These days, I have never seen so many people drinking almond, rice and soya milks. As part of the generation of young adults that are health obsessed, body conscious, aware of and questioning foods and constantly asking questions about nutrition, one of mine is 'should I be completely cutting out dairy?'

BY TERRY CELLULAROSE CC SERUM REVIEW

THE By Terry Cellularose Brightening CC Serum is, I feel, an appropriate introduction to this cult skincare product. If you are a regular visitor to the blogosphere, an apothecary expert or a luxury fanatic I imagine you already know that this product exists. However if you don't, prepare to have your world rocked.

WINTER LUXURIES WITH FRENCH CONNECTION

As I'm sitting here writing this post I have the fire roaring and candles burning and my priority is staying warm and comfortable. As much as I love the winter months for the dark nights, styling knits and layering your clothes over knee-high boots, and long luxurious hot baths, this winter has started getting pretty cold! So when I received these incredibly beautiful products from French Connection London I was over the moon. This 4-step collection was just what I needed for my winter body care routine - exfoliant, body wash, moisturiser and body spray.

WHICH ACID SHOULD YOU BE INCORPORATING IN TO YOUR SKINCARE?

Scrolling through skincare products a few weeks ago, I began to notice a pattern/trend in some of the ingredients of the various oils, moisturisers and cleansers on offer. ACID!

To a lot of us, acid is what we played with at school in gloves and safety goggles - not something we would even think of putting on our face! Yet dermatologists have discovered that milder forms of certain acids can be used to treat specific problem areas effectively.

MY WELLNESS JOURNEY

Wellness isn't just about health and fitness. In fact, it's MUCH more than that. To some people it's about being vegan, the right supplement intake, crystal healing or even just quitting smoking. It's loving yourself and taking care of your mind and body. Feeling healthy and positive within yourself.

THE LUXURY LOVER'S GUIDE TO SAVING

1. Have TWO signature scents. Every girl has their favourite luxury perfume - the scent you adore and the perfect accessory to your date night outfits. For me nothing wears better than my Gypsy Water from Byredo. But a few spritzes a day can start to get expensive, so stock up on a cheaper bottle for work/every day wear. Zara have a beautiful collection of perfumes that actually mimic common best sellers such as Chanel and Thierry Mugler.
